Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is coming out on November 19, 2010.
Less than a year wait, guys! cheers

What are your thoughts on the movie franchise coming to an end?
Which scenes would you have liked the filmmakers to have retained in their adaptation of the book?
Which ones were just 'meh' and you wouldn't mind getting cut?

If you wish to remain free of spoilers but would love to discuss the upcoming movie with fellow witches and wizards, this thread is for you.

Posting a spoiler once earns you a reprimand. Posting a spoiler twice loses you 5 points.

If you want to post spoilers and/or discuss spoilers, go to this thread.

As with any other thread...BEHAVE. Wink

The movie premieres can come to an end, but that doesn't mean I'll stop watching the movies. LoL

Hmmm... Well, one of the scenes I'd really love to see is the Gringotts vault scene as well as the Room of Requirement scene. I want to see if they're going to pull it off well. Come to think of it, I want to see Malfoy Manor too and how Emma Watson's gonna act there. Very Happy

"Meh" scenes that I wouldn't mind getting rid of would be:
Hermione's crying slump and the Epilogue.
(sorry, I'm not a fan of the 19 years later thing. >.<)

Other opinions? Very Happy I'm excited already ^__^ the wait is going to kill me.

**i don't think there are any spoilers in this...right?

^ Based on the past movies, I don't think Hermione's going to cry a lot in Deathly Hallows. They've made her out to be this super girl, girl power-y...err...girl. Hehe Very Happy

Anyhoo, I'd loooove to see everything. I don't want anything to get cut. Hahaha! Which is impossible of course. Razz So cut the Hagrid scenes then. I'm not really a Hagrid fan.

All Ron and Hermione moments MUST be retained says my shipper heart. Very Happy

I'm also sad by the fact that after a decade or so of filming, the cast finally heard their last "It's a wrap." if I were there I'd get teary eyed talaga.

As long us we, Potterheads, keep it going, it will go on and on and on! Very Happy

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Movie Discussion [NO SPOILERS] Empty What we learned

Post by Black_Neo 2011-06-15, 10:44

I write this with the thought of the final installment to Harry Potter coming out in a few weeks

We are all lucky, We are all blessed, and I am very proud to be born in the

21st century. For the past hundred years the Human race started from

horse drawn carriages to a 600 HP Ferrari. From small towns to sprawling

mega cities. From Messengers on foot, to instant messaging system. From

writing on animal skin to Digital tablets. From whale Oil to Nuclear Energy.

Never in the History of man has the Human race developed any faster.

So much has changed but somethings never do. We still love books like

Romeo and Juliet from Shakespeare. But we are not to be outdone today

because of the literary classic (I hope) and a household name

called "Harry Potter" by J.k. Rowling. They may have had they're share of

love and war, tragedy and romance. But we will always have Stupefy,

Expecto Patronum and Expellairmus. And as we all grew up during the time

of Harry Potter we look back that not only did harry potter provided us with

hours of fun, Shipper moments and lots and lots of things to talk about. It

also helped us improve our our vocabulary/language skills (for those who

started reading Harry potter at a young age)and people skills. We also

learned values of friendship, loyalty and bravery. And most of all we

learned that even though doing the what is "right" is always different from

doing what is "easy". Even though sometimes we feel that the world is against

us. It would not stop us from doing otherwise. Soon In great sadness

we must bid Harry Potter farewell. But it also brings a new beginning. And

a new day will come for other stories and classics. But we will always have

that special place in our hearts, for that great work of art called

"Harry Potter".
