Quidditch Robes

Quidditch Robes!!!

Ah where to start.

Essentially they are based on the movies. And there are versions, depending on the movie. I'm not particularly making more of them now because it would entail more of my attention. It's my mom who makes the robes, the design just goes through me. Unlike the School Robes which she already mastered, Quidditch Robes are different.

Another difficult concern for me now are the leather accessories, which completes the Quidditch look. Madam Malkin and I do not have the appropriate equipment to sew leather. Like I've noted in the School Robes thread, I made just one set since I started all these.

The Versions

1. SS and Cos
- Since this movies were directed both by Chris Columbus, there's only one design for the Gryffindor and Slytherin Quidditch robes. I've actually made a set for a PHP Gryffindor Quidditch Team and Slytherin robes for several PHP individuals.

2. PoA
- Directed by Alfonso Cuaron and yes, another version was made. The movie canon would only be the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Quidditch robes. Only made one Gryffindor Q-Robe, mine Very Happy

3. GoF
- No Quidditch for Hogwarts naturally for the book and the movie. But since there's A Quidditch World Cup, there's the Bulgarian and Ireland's Quidditch Robes. I didn't make any of these.

4. Ootp
- No Quidditch in this movie, so there's no new version.

5. HBP
- One of the best looking Quidditch robe design in the HP movie franchise. I made a prototype and worn this last Oct30.

I don't think there would be additional versions since there's no Quidditch in the DH movies.

I have yet to collate the pictures and post them here so you can appreciate them.

The teeny weeny problem with this is there's no movie canon reference. We could only refer to the books.

My mistake. I didn't see Targ's question about Ravenclaws not asking about it. If you're interested to have a Ravenclaw Quidditch robe made, I believe the same rules for contact, ordering and measurement apply which you can find in the thread I quoted above.

It's actually safe for the Hufflepuff and Slytherin Houses, but not for Ravenclaw. For the first 2 Houses, the movies followed the House primary and secondary colors in the book (both school and Quidditch robes). For Ravenclaw, the Blue and Bronze house colors didn't make it to the movies. The only obvious reference is the Ravenclaw School Robe design and if you look closely, the colors are Blue and Gray (or Silver).

Tsaka kapag si current Head Boy ang nagtatanong, mahirap mag-assume. Tignan mo ulit yung patch ng School Robe niya hindi Hufflepuff Very Happy

Oh, according to the HP Film Wizardry book, talagang Blue and Silver/Gray ang ginagamit for Ravenclaw sa movies. Feeling ko Bronze won't photograph too well kaya ganun. Tingin ko safe na to assume that it would've been Blue and Silver/Gray if they ever made the costumes.

i used to have that huff patch, kaso nawala na sa baha e. hehehe. i tried making tahi it alongside the other patch but it looked silly. i should've retained the huff patch pala.

Then it's good that they noted that in the book. Was that book from Warner Bros? or officially endorsed?

That's one of the reasons why I'm not making more of it. I lack the equipment (and time) to make the leather accessories. Shoes should be yours.

Cost would depend on the design. I can't provide you the cost right now, since (1)It's been ages since I've made a Quidditch Robe and (2)I haven't computed for the Galleons yet as per details and fabric and materials current costs.
