MTV Takes A Look At The History of HP Characters

MTV started a series of features on the growth and evolution of the various characters and the actors who play them in the Harry Potter films.

First, they take a look at Draco Malfoy/Tom Felton:

Five years after Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy first set foot in Diagon Alley to buy their school supplies, the gray-eyed villain of his class has come a long way. Though he may not be using nearly as much hair gel as he did in his first year, the son from a wealthy, traditionally Slytherin family comes back to school in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" with a harder heart and a burden mounted with destiny and anger following the events of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

As the youngest Weasley sibling in one of author J.K. Rowling's largest and most famous families, the girl who started out on the sidelines during "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and played a crucial role in Voldemort's attempted second coming during "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" grabs her share of the spotlight once again in theaters this month.

MTV just published the next part of the series about Rupert Grint/Ron Weasley:

Harry Potter's two closest friends since the first installment in the series, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," also share one of the saga's most strained relationships. Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger may embody predestined puppy love more than any of their Hogwarts classmates, but the bombshell kiss that Ron shares with Lavender Brown in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" threatens to drive a permanent wedge between them, even as the darkest threat the series has ever seen descends on their school.
